This is the official privacy policy for Cove - Fast & Secure VPN ("Cove", "we", "us", or "our"), an Android virtual private network (VPN) application developed and published by VeloxSoft.

We designed our app with a minimalist approach, focusing on providing reliable connection nodes and high-speed channels while strictly protecting your privacy.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect (and why)

We believe in data minimization. We collect only what is absolutely necessary to keep our high-speed network running efficiently and to maintain our free-tier services. Anything not listed here is not collected.

Device Identifier (Anonymized UUID): Collected to track free-tier daily usage quotas and rewarded-ad credits per device. It is stored securely and retained until you uninstall the app, clear app data, or request deletion.
Install Country: Derived from your initial IP address (country level only) to set optimal default high-speed nodes and ad routing policies for your region.
Google Play Advertising ID (GAID): Passed to the Google AdMob SDK to serve ads for free-tier users. We do not store this on our servers.
IP Address (during an active session ONLY): Collected strictly to route your traffic to the VPN node and prevent DDoS attacks or abuse. This is held in volatile memory (RAM) only and is cleared immediately and automatically the moment you disconnect.
Bandwidth & Time Counters: (Bytes / minutes per day) Collected to enforce fair-use limits on our free-tier high-speed channels. This data is overwritten automatically after 36 hours.
Crash Logs & Analytics: (Device model, OS version, stack traces) Collected via third-party platforms to fix bugs, improve app stability, and measure marketing performance.

3. What we explicitly do NOT collect (Strict No-Logs)

We are a privacy-first VPN. We absolutely do NOT collect, store, or share:

No personal identifiers: We do not collect your IMEI, IMSI, phone number, email address, real name, or MAC address.
No browsing activity: We do not monitor, log, or store your DNS queries, visited URLs, downloaded files, or web traffic destinations.
No precise location: We do not use GPS or Wi-Fi BSSID scanning.
No device content: We do not access your keystrokes, screen content, microphone, camera, or clipboard.
No persistent connection logs: We do not keep session connection timestamps linked to your actual IP address after you disconnect.

4. How our High-Speed VPN service works

When you tap "Connect", Cove builds a secure, encrypted tunnel between your device and one of our globally distributed, optimized connection nodes. The bulk of your device's network traffic is routed through this tunnel and exits through the node's IP address.

Because of our strict No-Logs architecture, we do not see or inspect your traffic content. We only see encrypted packets. Our routing layer simply counts the size of the packets to enforce fair-usage quotas, without knowing what those packets contain. The destination websites you visit will only see our VPN node's public IP, completely masking your real identity and location.

5. Data Security and Hosting

Our control-plane API is secured behind industry-standard encryption (HTTPS only). Our high-speed VPN tunnels utilize state-of-the-art encryption protocols to ensure your data cannot be intercepted by ISPs or malicious actors. While no digital system is 100% secure, VeloxSoft employs strict physical and electronic safeguards to protect your minimal anonymized data.

6. Children's Privacy

Cove is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will delete it.

7. Policy Changes

VeloxSoft reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our app evolves. Material changes will be announced within the app upon your next launch. Continued use of Cove signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
